Thomas Taylor Joins Anthrax

Thomas Taylor has spent most of his life inside paintball. Not around it — inside it. From the early days of professional competition to years at the top level of the sport, he’s experienced the game from every angle that matters: player, teammate, competitor, and reference point for others coming up.

Over the years, Thomas has played for some of the most established teams in professional paintball and has been part of championship runs that helped shape modern competitive play. More importantly, he understands what works and what doesn’t — in gear, in preparation, and in how teams operate over a full season. That understanding only comes from time spent on the field.

This season, Thomas will also be competing alongside his son, Keith Taylor, with Team Ikonik — a team they co-founded and have been building together over recent years. Ikonik has earned a place in the Semi-Pro division of the National XBall League (NXL), marking an important step forward for the program and placing the team in one of the most competitive environments in the sport. Being directly involved with Ikonik keeps Thomas closely connected to how the game is played today, at a level where margins are small and equipment choices matter.

A seat at the design table

Thomas’s role here is hands-on. From the moment we started talking, he was already sitting down with our designers, reviewing product details and questioning our decisions based on his years on the field. He’s here to provide the kind of feedback you can only get from someone who has lived in a jersey for most of his life.

What to expect moving forward:

  • Direct feedback: We’re using Thomas’s experience to refine our U.S. product line.

  • Better support: US teams now have a direct line to someone who understands the logistical grind of a full season.

  • Practical gear: We’re focusing on making the equipment more reliable and the customization process easier for players.

The work has already started. You’ll see the results soon enough in the gear and on the field.

Welcome to the family, Thomas.
